Come Into Me

4/1/11

Come into me

Come, lay me down

This symphony of skin

a body of sound playing louder each second that I feel you close

every breath by your lungs

chasing away all the ghosts.

Come into me

Come, lay me down

Remind my soul of it's history, reteach it how

to sing out in ecstasy or sway quiet in bliss

touch each heart string and weave me anew with your kiss

Come into me

Come, lay me down

My mystery quakes, awake,

solved by the vow you make here beside me

within me

not to go

your eyes keeping time

crystal blue metronomes

Come into me

Come, lay me down

Light our bodies like fireworks

night sky resounding the flashes we feel, starstruck, lost for words

faces painted from afterglow

my toes curl as we burst then lie wrapped in each other

I whisper, "come now

come into me

please, come

lay me down"
